MINGAN ARCHIPELAGO NATIONAL PARK

Breathtaking landscapes of exceptional beauty are just a few waves away of the shore in Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan. The Parks Canada visitor center provides information on the islands, marine transport services, interpretation activities and camping sites. Boats leave from the village to visit the western part of the Archipelago.

THE MINGAN ISLAND CETACEAN STUDY (MICS) INTERPRETATION CENTRE

A visit to this magnificent research centre, with its life-sized marine mammal sculptures, its murals, photographs and acoustic room, will provide an unforgettable experience! Participate in the research done on the large whales of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Sea excursions are organized as day trips or as weekly sessions and are offered from mid-June to mid-October!

NORYAK AVENTURE: AVENTURE EN MINGANIE

 

Noryak offers kayak tours in the Mingan Archipelago.  Noryak proviens  a luggage transport service for kayakers and canoeists who want to go down the Magpie river.  Other guide services for hikers and fatbikers (upon request).

VISIT HOUSE OF INNU CULTURE

This house is a place where the culture of the Ekuanitshit (formerly Mingan) Innu is preserved and promoted. Visitors will find a unique permanent exhibit that takes them deep into the Innu world of caribou hunting, salmon fishing and berry gathering. This is also a place where you will hear Innu-aimun spoken and chanted.
